Michael Gibbons: Mike has been practicing law for almost 30 years with a focus on business and commercial law and litigation. He has a diverse client base that includes nonprofits, closely and privately held businesses, and publicly traded corporations in manufacturing, distribution, finance, service, and retail sectors. Mike regularly counsels clients on a wide range of business matters including purchasing and supply disputes, business break-ups, shareholder/member litigation, trade secret and noncompete litigation, debtor/creditor disputes, and employment litigation. He and has extensive experience representing businesses (and their owners) in litigating complex business and commercial disputes. He is the CEO of Beier Howlett, was named a dbusiness Top Lawyer, and was recently named a “Go To Lawyer” in business law by Michigan Lawyers Weekly. Peter Gojcaj: He has been recognized for his work in commercial litigation. He specializes in business and commercial law and litigation, municipal and school law, construction accident defense, personal injury defense, medical malpractice defense, as well as landlord/tenant law and real estate. Peter is an officer with the Knights of Columbus where he has donated his time and effort on charitable enterprises, communities, families, youth, and adolescents. He is also a member of the St. Thomas More Law Society which is a public interest group that defends religious freedom, families, and family values. Peter has been recognized as a Super Lawyer Rising Star and most recently was named a “Go To Lawyer” in business litigation by Michigan Lawyers Weekly. Jeffrey Haynes: He has been recognized since 1989 for his work in environmental law and litigation. Jeff is one of the most well respected environmental law attorneys in Michigan and has been practicing for over 45 years. He represents Fortune 500 companies, municipalities, closely-held companies, foreign governments, citizen groups, and individuals in a wide range of environmental issues. He is the editor of the Michigan Law Deskbook, Second Edition, published by the State Bar of Michigan. He also authored the chapter on the Michigan Environmental Protection Act. Jeff is a Fellow of the American College of Environmental Lawyers and has been named a Michigan Super Lawyer since 2012. He has also been recognized by Who’s Who in American Law in 2007 and most recently was cited in a dissenting opinion by the Michigan Supreme Court. Mary Kucharek: She has been recognized since 2023 for her work in municipal litigation. Mary is the City Attorney for the City of Birmingham, the City of Orchard Lake Village, and the Village of Lake Orion. She also concentrates her practice in the areas of criminal prosecutions, criminal defense, and victim advocacy. She is a well respected member of her community and has been named to 2021 “Notable Women in Law” by Crain’s Detroit Business and the 2017 class of “Women in the Law” by Michigan Lawyers Weekly. She was inducted into the Who’s Who Biographical Registry in 2022 and is currently the Vice President of Beier Howlett. Mary is active in the community where she has served on the Oakland County Mental Health Authority Board and has also served as an Oakland County Bar Association Inn’s of Court Mentor. She educates police officers in recent law changes and also has spent many years speaking to high schools and community groups on laws involving alcohol, drugs, and under-age substance abuse.
