"Every legal decision has an impact, whether from a financial perspective or on a personal level. My role is to help clients navigate challenges with confidence, clarity, and a strategy for long-term success in both arenas."

A Bit About Me

With more than a decade of legal experience, Stephen brings a diverse background in criminal prosecution, business law, commercial real estate, and regulatory compliance to Beier Howlett. Most recently, he has served as a Special Wayne County Prosecutor with the City of Detroit Law Department, where he prosecutes criminal matters in the 36th District Court as a Special Assistant Wayne County Prosecuting Attorney. In this role, he serves as lead prosecutor in motion hearings, bench and jury trials, and sentencing proceedings, while conducting extensive legal research and developing litigation strategies to resolve complex legal issues.

Prior to returning to the courtroom, Stephen built a successful practice representing businesses, developers, and entrepreneurs in complex commercial transactions, real estate matters, and regulatory compliance. He has negotiated multi-million-dollar real estate acquisitions, drafted investment and commercial agreements, advised businesses through municipal and state licensing processes, and managed legal compliance for large-scale development projects. Earlier in his career, he founded and managed his own law practice focused on business organization, civil litigation, and real estate law. His broad legal background, combined with his courtroom experience, allows him to provide clients with practical, strategic counsel and effective advocacy across a wide range of legal matters.
