A Bit About Me
For many years, Monica has been a trusted member of the Beier Howlett team, bringing more than 35 years of legal experience to clients navigating some of life's most personal and challenging matters. Her practice focuses on family law, including divorce, child custody, parenting time, alimony, child support, domestic relations mediation, adoption, paternity, prenuptial agreements, child protective proceedings, grandparents' rights, and adult and juvenile guardianships. Monica approaches every case with compassion, understanding, and a commitment to helping clients through sensitive and emotional situations with confidence and care.
Monica earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan in 1987 and her law degree from Wayne State University in 1990. She is involved in the community including having served as a chair of the Juvenile Law Committee and as an adjunct professor of legal studies at Baker College. She is also an active member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Oakland County Bar Association.
